Polypropylene fiber from RILON is a synthetic fiber obtained from melt spinning. It is intended for use as a textile fiber in all sectors of the textile industry, whether mixed with other materials or pure.
Due to its low specific weight, it is one of the lightest textile fibers. It has a very low water absorption as well as a low static charge generated by friction, which limits the penetration of dirt into RILON PP fibers, allowing very easy washing and cleaning compared to other fibers. Due to its characteristics, this polymer is used in the form of certain products in medicine, pharmacy and food industry.
RILON PP fibers are chemically inert, meaning they are resistant to a large number of organic and inorganic acids, alkalis and solvent, and resistant to microorganisms, fungi and bacteria as well as to insects. Due to their very weak dielectric permeability, they are also used as an insulator.
